Einer dieser typischen Sonnenuntergänge, bei denen man denkt, „Okay, das war's dann wohl…“, und urplötzlich tut sich ein Riss am Horizont auf und die untergehende Sonne bäumt sich noch einmal mit aller Kraft auf. Das alles vor einer unvergleichlichen Kulisse wie hier den Communs mit den Kolonnaden am westlichen Ende von Park Sanssouci. Die Communs dienten dabei unter anderem als Gebäude für die Bediensteten sowie als Schlossküche – verbunden durch einen unterirdischen Gang mit dem Neuen Palais.

One of those typical sunsets where you think, "Okay, that's probably it then..." and suddenly a crack appears on the horizon and the setting sun rears up again with all its might. All of this against an incomparable backdrop like the Communs with the colonnades at the western end of Sanssouci Park. The Communs served, among other things, as a building for the servants and as a palace kitchen - connected to the New Palace by an underground passage.
